David Klass studied art and architecture at Pratt Institute. Upon graduation he apprenticed with the noted American artist, Theodore Roszak, assisting in the fabrication and installation of public art works for the city of New York. Subsequently, he founded his own studio and began designing Judaica for the home and synagogue, the most enduring institution of Jewish identity
Mr. Klass seeks to contribute to the continuity of Jewish history and enhance the experience of Jewish spiritual tradition through his artistic vision, his knowledge of design, and his expert craftsmanship. For the past 35 years, he has been designing and fabricating ritual and ceremonial objects including trees of life, menorahs, eternal lights, arks and ark doors, memorials, and donor walls.
Mr. Klass has worked with numerous congregations and committees, as well as collective and individual patrons. He is known for facilitating communication so that his clients are happy with both the process and the final outcome.

While Mr. Klass is known for his original compositions, he can, if you prefer, interpret the sketches of your architect or designer. In addition to his Judaica, David Klass is an accomplished figurative sculptor, whose work can be found in numerous collections. Mr. Klass can furnish original designs, or he can interpret your concepts and sketches. He is inspired by traditional designs, contemporary art, the eternal light can be suspended from a chain or wall-mounted. His ark doors styles range from traditional European Designs, such as the doors at the Plainview Jewish Center.
